Both auditoriums are available to RENT!
Over the years the Grand Theater has hosted numerous rental events including business meetings, receptions, weddings, memorials, graduation and birthday parties.  We have also hosted private groups to see movies (either titles we were offering at the time to the public or a DVD).  With the COVID-19 pandemic, renting the theater for a private family event or clubs and teams has gained interest.

Currently, rental options on weekends are limited as we offer public showings of movies each evening Wednesday - Sunday as well as Sunday matinees.  Generally both Saturday and Sunday mornings are available (finishing by 12:30).

Terms, policies and procedures for a basic small group of 25 people or less to rent an auditorium:
  • Facility fee of $80 for a three-hour window.  This covers utilities and staff time to prep, monitor, and clean-up after a rental.
  • Concessions are not included but we will open the stand to provide snacks at our standard prices.
  • No outside food or drink allowed without explicit permission of the Theater.
  • Fee includes use of either auditorium’s projection and sound equipment as well as the lobby and restrooms.
  • Digital home movies and video games are all possible – you supply the media and we will work to play it.  In the case of video games, you must supply the console as well.
  • If you want to watch a movie we are currently showing to the public the rental fee will increase as our licenses with studios calculate payments to them on the number of admissions.
  • Larger groups beyond 25 people and/or special requests will increase the fee.
  • Given the necessity for deeper cleaning and sanitizing, we ask groups to not occupy more than one seat per person.
  • The theater is not designed as a playground.  Running and jumping through the rows of seats and aisles or playing tag, hide-n-seek and other games may be appealing, especially to youngsters, but it isn't safe or allowed at the theater.  Rentals of the theater are primarily about folks seated and focused on the screen.
  • Any damage to theater property caused by the renter or someone in their group, will be the financial responsibility of the renter.
  • Immediately prior to the event, the group organizer of the rental must attest to the theater, on behalf of each member of the group:
    • In the last 14 days has anyone in your group, or anyone they have been in close contact with had any of these symptoms: fever, chills, dry cough, difficulty breathing or sore throat?
    • To the best of each individual’s knowledge, in the last 14 days have they been exposed to anyone diagnosed with or suspected to have COVID-19?
If someone in your group answers yes to either question above, the entire event may need to be postponed or canceled.
to arrange a rental, please fill out the form below and a staff member will reach out to you to confirm event details.
