DAILY TRIVIA CONTEST

Although the theater is temporarily closed, we're offering a daily diversion:

a trivia contest with prizes! 

Everyone that correctly answers all the day's questions wins that day's published prize
​(popcorn or soda, admission, poster, etc.) to be redeemed when the theater reopens!

Everyday we'll post a series of trivia questions about movies previously screened at the Grand Theater + a question that is unique to the Grand Theater (for instance, how many tickets did we sell to CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR).  
  • Each day's trivia questions will be published here as well as on Facebook and Twitter
  • E-mail your answers to director@grandtheaterknoxville.org, or from Facebook or Twitter just respond with your answers
  • One response per person per day
  • Deadline to submit your answers is 8:00 pm for each day's quiz
  • ​The prior day's correct answers and winner will be posted by noon the following day
  • For answers that involve a number (i.e. - CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR sold 1,182 tickets) the closest guess wins, assuming the remaining questions are correctly answered

Trivia answers for Saturday, 3/28
#1 The character changed her name to Tris.
#2 YESTERDAY featured The Beatles music.
#3 No one had the correct answer.  All the guesses named Scarlett Johansson and all included AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON.  That movie premiered May 1, 2015 and was released on DVD October 2, 2015.  The Grand was still under renovation then and never screened that movie.

Also – Johansson has stared in nine different features shown at the Grand since it re-opened in November 2015:
